Stories
We
Tell
Through the perspective of students, these are the stories we tell.
Welcome to the Stories We Tell page. This website is designed to showcase student work and capture important current events which impact students and the surrounding community. Contents of this page are written, recorded, and produced by students studying Journalism and Mass communications at North Carolina A&T State University located in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Aside from showcasing their current work, we hope this platform can be a spring board for students launching their enterprising career in media. Graduates of the department have transitioned to careers in news, media, marketing, public relations, and entrepreneurship.

Multimedia Short Course
So what’s a day-in-the life of a journalist? Students find out through the National Association of Black Journalist (NABJ) short course. Here, students from various institutions come to North Carolina A&T State University to work alongside some of the top journalists in the industry to get that perspective. Students participate workshops, network, and produce a newscast by the end of the program. A number of participants use this experience to help propel their emerging career, even coming back to volunteer the following years.
North Carolina A&T has hosted the short course for over 20 years. Check out programs here.
