Join us in Crosby 215 on October 1, 2024, from 8:00-10:30 pm ET to watch Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Ohio Senator JD Vance go head-to-head in the Vice-Presidential Debate, starting at 9:00 pm.
Norah O’Donnell and Margret Brennan will moderate the 90-minute debate from the CBS Broadcast Center in New York.
Each candidate will have two minutes to answer a question, two minutes to respond, and one minute for a rebuttal. Mics will remain hot throughout the debate, but CBS reserves the right to mute the candidate’s microphones.
Moderators are not responsible for fact-checking, it will be left in the hands of the candidates. However, CBS will provide real-time fact-checking on its live blog and social media. This is the first and only debate that will be held between the Vice-Presidential nominees.
Back here in Greensboro, students are welcome to tune into the debate in Crosby Hall’s room 215. Refreshments will be served. Register here to attend.`
