Applications for the EA Madden Scholarship Program are open!
The EA Madden Scholarship Program, in partnership with UNCF, is providing HBCU students up to a $12,000 merit award, professional development and exposure in the gaming industry through a one-of-a-kind EA Sports experience.
Accepted students will gain behind-the-scenes access to EA Sports, the EA Madden NFL studio and franchise teams. The professional development program will provide career counseling, training, resume and virtual interview preparation for those selected for EA internship interviews and a possible internship with EA.
The EA Madden Scholarship Program honors Coach John Madden’s commitment to investing in the education of the next generation from underrepresented communities.
Eligibility Criteria
• GPA average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
• U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
• Be a college freshman, sophomore or junior at the time of application
• Attend one of the following HBCUs:
– Spelman College
– Morehouse College
– Clark Atlanta University
– Howard University
– North Carolina A&T State University
– Florida A&M University
– Prairie View A&M University
– Southern University and A&M College
• Must major in one of the following programs: business, interactive media, economics, computer science, marketing, cybersecurity, finance, accounting, graphic design, communications, computer engineering, software engineering, machine learning, data science, art, digital art, psychology, humanities, music/audio, sound/visual, UX, animation or game design
• Demonstrate leadership through extracurricular activities or coursework
• Provide a current resume, portfolio (optional) and up-to-date transcript
Applications close Oct. 31 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
