NABJ’s #NABJ26 Student Multimedia Projects is providing students nationwide with a weeklong opportunity to experience in-person and virtual workshops and training sessions led by industry-leading journalists and public relations experts.
Accepted students will cover the 2026 NABJ Convention & Career Fair taking place Aug. 12–16 in Atlanta, and local stories.
Alongside seasoned journalists and public relations professionals, students will produce television newscasts, create digital content, maintain the student convention news website and plan and manage workshops and special events.
Students will receive hands-on experience in print, newspaper graphic design, digital content creation, TV reporting and news producing, photography, newsroom management, podcasting and public relations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Available to participate in training workshops leading up to the program and during the convention
- Current NABJ student member in good standing
- Willing to commit full time during the program
- Undergraduate or graduate student at least 18 years old and currently enrolled full time at an accredited college or university in the United States, including undergraduate and graduate students who currently attend community colleges and students who will graduate in May or June 2026
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, verified by an official transcript
- Must have health insurance
- Completion of application requirements
