Apply Now: Jovita Moore Memorial Scholarship for Aspiring Journalists

NABJ, in partnership with Cox Media Group (CMG), is now accepting applications for the Jovita Moore Memorial Scholarship.

CMG is sponsoring the scholarship with an annual $25,000 investment to support passionate journalism students. CMG is an industry-leading media company with 15 television brands, including ABC, CBS and Fox affiliates, and 45 radio stations that aim to connect and inspire audiences.

The scholarship honors the legacy of award-winning broadcaster and longtime NABJ member Jovita Moore. Moore served as a news anchor for WSB-TV in Atlanta from 1998 until her death in 2021 after a seven-month battle with brain cancer. She won nine Emmy Awards and was inducted into the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Southeast Chapter’s Silver Circle in 2017.
