Applications Open for the Summer 2026 Bartley Fellowship Opinion Internship!
The Wall Street Journal’s Opinion section is accepting applications for the Summer 2026 Bartley Fellowship Opinion Internship. This paid, 10-week in-person internship offers students and recent graduates hands-on journalism experience at the Journal’s New York City office.
The Bartley Fellowship honors the legacy of Robert L. Bartley, former editorial page editor of The Wall Street Journal. Fellows will work alongside some of the industry’s leading opinion writers and editors to develop their reporting, writing and editorial judgment.
Fellows will be placed within one of three departments in the Opinion section: Features (Op-Eds and Columns), Arts in Review or Books. They will assist with researching, writing and editing content for print and digital editions of the Journal and contribute to social media and digital production tasks. Fellows may also pitch stories or projects to editors within the section.
Fellows will earn $25 per hour.
