Join CNN’s 2026 Paid Internship Program in Washington, D.C.

Warner Bros. Discovery is accepting applications for CNN’s Newsgathering, Production and Communications Internships in Washington, D.C., for spring 2026. This paid, part-time program offers students hands-on newsroom experience in national and political news coverage.

Interns will work 16 to 4 hours per week from January to April 2026, gaining experience in writing, production, fact-checking and live news coordination. Opportunities are available in communications, desk newsgathering, field production and the political unit.

Interns will assist reporters, producers and photographers with daily assignments, story research, interviews and live programming. This hybrid internship provides valuable exposure to newsroom operations and a fast-paced news environment.

Interns will earn $19 per hour.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a broadcast journalism, media or communications major

• Must have strong knowledge of national and international news

• Must be actively enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university program

• Must be a junior, senior or graduate student in good academic standing (2.8 GPA or higher)

• Must have U.S. work authorization and be at least 18 years old
