WTVD (ABC11), a local news station owned by The Walt Disney Company, is seeking aspiring broadcast and multimedia journalists for its spring 2026 News Internship in Durham, N.C. This paid, part-time internship gives students hands-on newsroom experience in one of the nation’s fastest-growing media markets.

Interns will collaborate with journalists and digital teams to research, fact-check and create content for TV, digital and social media platforms. They will also attend editorial meetings, assist field crews with planning and production and contribute story ideas focused on community impact.

Interns will earn $17.75 per hour.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree and taking at least one class at the time of application

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization

• Must have a strong interest in journalism, news production or multimedia storytelling

• Must have reliable housing and transportation in the Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville area

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong writing, research and communication skills

• Ability to work under deadline pressure and in a team environment

• Familiarity with newsroom tools or Adobe Premiere, Dalet or similar editing software
