WGHP-TV (FOX8) in High Point, N.C., is accepting applications for its Spring 2026 Production Internship. This unpaid internship offers college students hands-on experience at one of North Carolina’s most well-known television stations serving the Piedmont Triad.

Interns will assist with writing and organizing newscasts, collaborate with anchors, reporters and photographers, and learn how to manage breaking news and digital updates. Students will observe newsroom meetings, contribute story ideas and learn how to time a live television broadcast. By the end of the semester, interns will work toward producing a full 30-minute newscast.

This internship is on site at FOX8 and requires 12 to 20 hours per week.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a college student seeking hands-on newsroom experience

• Must be creative, motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Must have transportation to the station in High Point, N.C. 

• Priority consideration will be given to juniors and seniors
