Tabeth spent a month in Cameroon, Central Africa, in the village of Bangangté, in the West Region of the country. Residents of Bangangté, Cameroon, wash and dry clothes by hand along the roadside near their homes, where streams of water run. It is a practice that spans centuries across African communities. The same bar of soap used to bathe and wash dishes is also used to wash clothes. Often, everyday routines and household tasks are shared experiences within families, promoting togetherness in daily life.
